Senior AI Platform Engineer (Knowledge Graph)

About the role

Coforge is hiring a Senior AI Platform Engineer / Knowledge Graph Engineer for a remote position in LATAM. The role evolves a core platform focused on entity management, governance, cross-references, relationships and business context discovery, combining knowledge graphs, NLP and LLMs.

Key responsibilities

• Evolve and enhance the entity management platform, including governance, cross-references and relationship discovery.
• Design and improve Named Entity Recognition (NER) pipelines using LLMs, open-source NLP models, gazetteers, pattern matching and blacklist-based approaches.
• Extend entity extraction to streaming and real-time content sources.
• Improve search with entity resolution, personalized search, metadata filtering and relationship-driven exploration.
• Design and maintain graph-based relationship models supporting traversal, visualization and business context mapping.
• Implement entity-level security and access control across retrieval, search and exploration.
• Integrate new data sources and connect with downstream applications and business platforms.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and AI-powered workflows, using AI-assisted development tools while validating generated code and architecture.
• Work with stakeholders across business domains, and contribute to onboarding, mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including data-intensive platforms in production.
• Proven experience ingesting, synchronizing and managing data from multiple sources.
• Systems thinking, advanced architecture and data modeling, and modeling of complex business domains.
• Permission-aware security controls and restricted-data filtering.
• Excellent communication skills and advanced English.

Required skills

• Elasticsearch and/or OpenSearch, information retrieval and entity resolution.
• Graph databases and knowledge graphs, including Neo4j and Cypher.
• NLP and NER with Gemma, Llama, GLiNER, spaCy and LLM-based extraction.
• PostgreSQL, Kubernetes and Datadog.
• AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude and ChatGPT.

Preferred: experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities or Mining; enterprise data governance and master data management; enterprise search, discovery or knowledge management platforms; graph visualization and AI-powered search and retrieval systems.
