Senior Lead Test Coordinator (Remote LATAM)

About the role

Abstra, a nearshore tech talent services company, is hiring a Senior Lead Test Coordinator for a fully remote LATAM position. The role oversees end-to-end quality engineering (QE) test management across the SDLC, from SIT and regression through UAT and production readiness, and maintains a centralized QE knowledge base. Working hours follow US Central Time, with a minimum 6-hour overlap.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end test management across the SDLC, from SIT and regression to UAT and production readiness validation
• Coordinate testing schedules, environments, resources and dependencies across multiple QE teams and product domains (eCommerce, StoreTech, POS, Payments, Loyalty, MDM)
• Manage a flexible QE resource pool (QE Flexpool) and partner with vendors to activate burstable capacity when needed
• Own the UAT process, including scheduling, environment readiness, business tester enablement, defect triage and formal sign-off with business stakeholders
• Build and maintain a centralized QE knowledge base, test plans, strategies and test cases, and share post-mortems and lessons learned
• Optimize risk-based regression, manage and triage defects, and track test metrics such as coverage, pass/fail rates and capacity utilization
• Maintain a production readiness checklist and support release go/no-go reviews

Required profile

• 15+ years in QA/QE, with 5+ years in complex, multi-team test planning, coordination or test management
• Experience managing end-to-end test cycles across teams, vendors and concurrent releases
• Experience managing contingent or vendor QE resources, including capacity planning and prioritization
• Experience facilitating UAT with business stakeholders and driving formal sign-off
• Agile/Scrum experience with acceptance criteria and Definition of Done

Required skills

• JIRA and defect/test management tools (Zephyr, AIO, TestRail, Xray or equivalent)
• Functional, regression, integration and UAT testing
• Preferred: vendor QE flex staffing, eCommerce/POS testing, test data management, performance/accessibility/compliance testing (PCI, SOX), Confluence/SharePoint/Notion, ISTQB Foundation
