Technical Engineering Manager - Luxury Resort & Villa

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Engineering Manager to lead engineering and design for a luxury resort and villa development in Antigua. The role covers the full project lifecycle from concept through construction, commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams across Architectural, Structural, MEP and specialist engineering disciplines.
• Manage engineering activities from design development through construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate design efforts between consultants, contractors, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations, technical submissions, shop drawings, RFIs and design changes.
• Conduct technical reviews, value engineering, design optimisation and constructability assessments.
• Support construction teams in resolving technical and engineering issues.
• Ensure compliance with international codes, quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Support BIM coordination and digital engineering processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of engineering experience on large‑scale construction projects.
• At least 8 years in luxury hospitality, resort, hotel, villa or mixed‑use developments.
• Proven experience managing Architectural, Structural, MEP and specialist engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of international building codes, standards and engineering practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as PE, CEng or PMP are preferred.
