Remote Freelance – Face Image Collection for AI Dataset

About the role

We are looking for remote freelancers to help build a large, diverse facial image dataset for machine‑learning research at TELUS. The task involves gathering current neutral selfies, head‑pose captures, and historical photos to improve facial‑recognition models.

Key responsibilities

• Take or submit clear frontal selfies that serve as high‑quality identity references.
• Capture additional selfies following assigned head‑direction instructions to provide pose variation.
• Provide older photographs from personal galleries to represent natural aging.
• Ensure each image meets quality standards regarding lighting, background, and visibility.
• Submit a minimum of 20 valid images, with a recommendation to upload around 30 to account for QC filtering.

Required profile

• No specific education or professional background required.
• Access to a smartphone or camera capable of producing high‑resolution images.
• Ability to use a Gmail account for project communication.

Required skills

• Basic photography using a smartphone or digital camera.

What we offer

• Compensation of $0.55 USD for each accepted image.
