Senior Software Engineer (Remote LATAM)

About the role

Savvy is a registered investment advisor that partners with experienced financial advisors, giving them a modern, AI-native platform and client portal while handling back-office operations. It is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work remotely from Latin America, owning the end-to-end product development lifecycle of large initiatives for clients and advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from identifying and designing to shipping large initiatives for clients and advisors.
• Produce high-quality, production-ready, readable and maintainable code.
• Work cross-functionally with product leadership, design and business partners to deliver the best product.

Required profile

• 2-5 years building web applications, with experience shipping features in production environments.
• Full-stack development skills, including web frameworks (Rails preferred), frontend frameworks and libraries (NextJS and React preferred), and SQL databases.
• Strong collaboration and communication, with clear technical communication in cross-functional teams.
• Nice to have: fintech domain knowledge such as financial services, wealth management, regulatory compliance or financial data integrations.

Required skills

• Web frameworks (Rails preferred) and frontend frameworks (NextJS and React preferred)
• SQL databases
• Understanding of authentication/authorization, caching, background processing and API design (GraphQL preferred)
• Nice to have: macOS toolchains, CI/CD pipelines, IaaS providers and observability platforms (Datadog)
