About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Cashier to join our team at GCG in Saint John, Antigua. The role supports our airport and catering operations, ensuring smooth transactions and excellent customer service in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and verify float from GCG Catering before the shift starts.
• Prepare the cash register, ensure adequate cash on hand and lock it when unattended.
• Set up and sanitize work areas, rotate stock using FIFO, and verify opening inventory for all stations.
• Record customer orders, maintain accurate menu boards, and ensure food stations and juice dispensers are correctly set up.
• Process all sales transactions, accept cash and other payment methods, issue receipts, and provide correct change.
• Enter foreign currency amounts into the register and reconcile cash at the end of the shift.
• Hand over remaining stock and cash float to the next shift and complete shift reports.
• Greet customers courteously, answer queries, and deliver prompt service throughout the shift.
