Lead Software Engineer (C# / Angular)

About the role

Abstra, a nearshore tech talent services company, is looking for a Software Engineering Lead with strong experience in C#.NET, Angular and modern web application development. The role leads the technical evolution of an exam development platform while staying hands-on with coding and solution design. It suits a technical leader who mentors engineers, shapes architecture and works with Product, Design and Business stakeholders. The position is 100% remote in LATAM, with working hours based on GMT-3.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, architecture and implementation of web applications using C#.NET, Angular and Azure.
• Act as the primary technical advisor for the engineering team and partner with Product, Design and Business stakeholders.
• Set and promote engineering best practices, coding standards and architectural guidelines.
• Take part in system design, architecture reviews and technical planning.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Improve development processes, testing, CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Contribute directly to software delivery and evaluate emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on C# and Angular.
• 2+ years leading technical initiatives, mentoring developers or acting as a technical lead.
• Experience in Agile environments and strong communication skills.
