E-commerce Product & Search Relevancy Expert

About the role

As an E‑commerce Product & Search Relevancy Expert at TELUS Digital, you will train AI systems to deliver accurate product suggestions to online shoppers. Working with large, multi‑industry catalogs, you will act as the human logic that ensures customers see compatible and visually coherent items rather than random picks.

Key responsibilities

• Create product pairs by matching items based on colour, pattern, style and functional compatibility.
• Validate that paired products serve the same use case (e.g., appropriate gear for gravel biking versus road cycling).
• Review and enrich metadata such as gender, price segment and seasonality to support sound recommendations.
• Maintain clean, structured match lists that adhere to brand and category guidelines.
• Rapidly acquire domain knowledge for new product categories (e.g., skiing, cycling, fitness equipment).

Required profile

• Proven experience in search relevancy, product categorization or e‑commerce content moderation.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Strong analytical ability to differentiate technical product categories quickly.
• High attention to visual detail and price positioning.
• Comfort working with large SKU datasets while preserving quality.
• Intermediate English proficiency (minimum B1).
