Freelance Face Image Collection for Machine Learning

About the role

This freelance position involves gathering a diverse set of facial images to support machine‑learning research and improve facial‑recognition models for TELUS. You will submit current neutral selfies, head‑pose captures, and historical photos that reflect real‑world variation in lighting, expression, accessories, and aging.

Key responsibilities

• Capture high‑quality neutral frontal selfies with natural background variation.
• Take head‑pose images following assigned directions to provide pose diversity.
• Collect older photographs from personal galleries to represent natural aging.
• Submit a minimum of 20 valid images, aiming for 30 to ensure enough pass quality control.
• Follow TELUS’s automated and manual QC guidelines to ensure image acceptance.

Required profile

• No specific education required; ability to take clear photos is essential.
• Access to a smartphone or camera capable of high‑resolution images.
• Comfort with using a Gmail account for submission.
• Willingness to share personal images for research purposes.

Required skills

• Basic photography (selfie and portrait capture).
• Ability to upload and manage image files.
