Restaurant Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Restaurant Manager will lead the daily operations of the restaurant at Jumby Bay Island, ensuring service excellence that reflects the luxury standards of Oetker Hotels. This role combines operational oversight with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of restaurant service, from front‑of‑house to back‑of‑house operations.
• Plan, organize and direct staff scheduling, training and performance management.
• Maintain and continuously improve service standards in line with Jumby Bay’s brand expectations.
• Monitor guest feedback and implement corrective actions to enhance the guest experience.
• Control operational costs, inventory and budgeting while ensuring profitability.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to deliver seamless guest experiences.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar restaurant management role, preferably within luxury hospitality.
• Relevant certifications or degrees are preferred.
• Familiarity with Forbes and LQA service standards.
• Ability to lead, train and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; a second language is an asset.
• Flexibility to work varied hours as required by the resort operation.

• Knowledge of Forbes Service Standards.
• Knowledge of LQA Service Standards.
• Experience with SevenRooms reservation system.
• Experience with Micros point‑of‑sale system.
