Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO)

About the role

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer acts as the principal execution leader of the company and the CEO’s primary partner in delivering strategic, operational, commercial and financial objectives. This senior role provides day‑to‑day leadership across the enterprise, translating board‑approved priorities into measurable outcomes while creating capacity for the CEO to focus on growth, risk oversight and long‑term transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the CEO in overall leadership and management of the company.
• Drive execution of the strategic plan and annual business objectives, ensuring alignment between corporate strategy, departmental priorities and individual performance.
• Oversee core revenue‑generating businesses, including Investment Banking, Wealth Management, Trading & Brokerage, and Treasury & Financial Institutions.
• Lead initiatives to enhance profitability, efficiency, productivity and shareholder value.
• Identify and resolve operational, commercial and organisational challenges promptly.
• Monitor business performance against budgets and targets, and identify opportunities for revenue growth and cross‑selling.
• Lead enterprise‑wide implementation of strategic initiatives approved by the Board and Executive Committee.
• Act as Acting Chief Executive Officer when required and represent the company internally and externally as delegated.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience overseeing core financial services businesses such as investment banking, wealth management, trading and treasury.
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategic priorities into measurable execution outcomes.
• Capability to act as Acting Chief Executive Officer and represent the organization at senior levels.
• Strong track record of driving profitability, efficiency and shareholder value.
