Carpenter – Construction & Formwork Specialist

About the role

The Carpenter works with designated construction crews to fabricate and install concrete formwork and related elements, following daily schedules provided by the Foreman and Superintendent. This role involves a variety of carpentry tasks across luxury residential and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate and install concrete formwork elements according to Foreman instructions.
• Install wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and studwork using power saws and other equipment.
• Design and install cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation.
• Read blueprints and design specifications to ensure work meets architectural and building code requirements.
• Select appropriate lumber, calculate fasteners, and source materials within budget constraints.
• Install windows, doors, siding, roofing, and other building components.
• Set up scaffolding and temporary structures to support construction activities.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, labor costs, and project expenses.
