Housekeeping Manager

About the role

Blue Waters Resort & Spa is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead the daily operations of its Housekeeping and Laundry departments. The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces, contributing to the resort’s 5‑star guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of Housekeeping and Laundry operations, maintaining exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Lead, train, motivate and develop a team of housekeeping and laundry staff, fostering accountability and teamwork.
• Conduct regular inspections, enforce quality standards and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, payroll, budgets, inventories and operating costs.
• Coordinate linen and laundry processes, ensuring proper inventory levels, equipment care and quality control.
• Partner with Maintenance to schedule deep‑cleaning, preventative maintenance and asset‑care programmes.
• Develop and update departmental policies, procedures and operating standards.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, chemical handling and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Maintenance and other departments to resolve guest and operational issues.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare operational and management reports.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as a Housekeeping Manager or comparable leadership role in a luxury hotel or resort with 80+ rooms.
• Degree or professional qualification in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a Caribbean luxury resort is an asset.
• Strong leadership, people‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to luxury hospitality standards.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments.
