Vice President of Construction

About the role

The Vice President of Construction will lead multiple residential projects, ensuring they meet the standards of the development entity and owner expectations. This senior leader provides oversight from project inception through completion, managing budget, schedule, quality, and stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project management for new construction, renovations, and remodels with limited guidance.
• Collaborate with project leadership to set production goals, develop budgets, and implement cost controls.
• Gather input from cross‑functional teams and communicate feedback to architects, designers, and contractors.
• Monitor and report project schedules, budgets, progress, and costs to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage change‑order approvals, permitting processes, and ensure all approvals are secured before construction.
• Supervise contractor and vendor performance, conduct daily site visits, and ensure quality standards.
• Lead bidding processes, negotiate contracts, and enforce company contract policies.
• Oversee procurement to meet specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Work with other departments to continuously improve processes and maintain a safe, hospitable environment for members and employees.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising construction teams and managing large‑scale residential projects.
• Strong leadership with ability to interview, hire, train, and evaluate staff.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with architects, designers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to resolve complaints, address problems, and enforce policies in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
