Food Service Porter

About the role

Join GCG’s dedicated team as a Food Service Porter, supporting patient nutrition in a fast‑paced healthcare environment. You will ensure meals are prepared, delivered, and managed with precision, contributing to a safe and pleasant experience for patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tray set‑up (TSU) with all required items.
• Pack and deliver patients’ meals according to the schedule.
• Take patient meal orders and confirm details.
• Explain menu options to patients when needed.
• Verify that the correct meal reaches the correct patient.
• Liaise with nurses to coordinate deliveries.
• Clean and collect patient‑care equipment after service.
• Sanitize all trays before returning them to the kitchen.
• Track patient‑care equipment, ensuring items are returned at the end of service.
• Prepare individual menu requests from patients.
• Provide verbal reports to the Floor Supervisor on new requests or changes.

Required profile

• Good communication skills for interacting with patients and nursing staff.
