Operations Manager – Retail & Duty-Free Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the retail and duty‑free business serving international travelers in Antigua & Barbuda. This senior leadership position will drive strategic direction, strengthen market presence, and ensure sustainable financial performance across all retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the business in Antigua & Barbuda.
• Develop and execute business plans focused on growth, profitability and market expansion.
• Own the P&L, managing revenue, gross margin, expenses and overall financial results.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand local market presence.
• Lead day‑to‑day retail operations, ensuring high customer service standards.
• Establish and continuously improve processes for profitability and inventory control.
• Monitor performance indicators such as sales, ATV, penetration rate, gross margin and shrinkage.
• Maintain strategic relationships with cruise port representatives, government officials, brand owners and vendors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on retail experience, preferably in a recognized organization.
• At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
• Proven experience managing P&L, KPIs and business performance.
• Strong commercial mindset with ability to identify growth and profitability opportunities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
