Operations Manager – Retail & Duty‑Free

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our retail and duty‑free operations in Antigua & Barbuda, serving international travelers in the cruise and tourism sector. This senior leadership position is responsible for overall business performance, strategic direction, and market growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the business, developing and executing plans for sustainable growth and profitability.
• Own the P&L, managing revenue, gross margin, expenses and overall financial performance.
• Lead day‑to‑day retail operations, ensuring high customer service standards and operational excellence.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as sales, average transaction value, penetration rate, gross margin and stock shrinkage.
• Oversee inventory management, implementing controls to minimize losses and improve stock performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with cruise port representatives, government officials, brand owners, vendors and partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on retail experience, preferably in a recognized organization.
• At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity with proven people‑management and team‑development skills.
• Strong commercial mindset with ability to identify growth and profitability opportunities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
