Senior CAD Detailer - Sheet Metal (Remote)

About the role

Abstra, a nearshore tech talent services company, is hiring a Senior CAD Detailer to use CAD software to produce highly detailed and accurate drawings for the Sheet Metal Sector's fabrication and installation teams. The position is 100% remote, LATAM location, with working hours based on US Central Daytime Time Zone.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
• Take field measurements and create 2D/3D drawings.
• Use AutoCAD to develop drawings for commercial and residential roofing and sheet metal projects.
• Revise existing drawings according to client specifications.
• Manage computer files (DWG, DWF, PDF).
• Assist Project Managers and Engineers with pre-construction tasks as needed.
• Ensure constructability, code compliance and weatherproofing/durability.

Required profile

• Technical degree or certificate in drafting, or equivalent on-the-job training.
• 2-5 years of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Proven proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Bluebeam Software.
