Vice President of Construction

About the role

The Vice President of Construction will lead multiple residential projects, ensuring they meet the standards of the development entity and owner expectations. This senior position provides oversight of budget, schedule, and quality from project inception through completion.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project management of new construction, renovations, and remodels with limited guidance.
• Collaborate with project leadership to set production goals, develop budgets, and implement cost controls.
• Gather input from cross‑functional teams and communicate feedback to architects, designers, and contractors.
• Monitor and communicate project schedules, budgets, progress, and costs to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage change‑order approval process and provide support for permitting.
• Visit construction sites daily to assess contractor and vendor performance and quality of work.
• Lead the bidding process, contract negotiations, and ensure compliance with company contract policies.
• Oversee procurement to meet specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Work with other departments to improve processes across all areas of responsibility.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising employees or supervisors, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, and disciplinary actions.
• Strong background in residential construction project oversight, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
• Ability to coordinate with architects, designers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Experience managing change orders, permitting processes, and procurement activities.
• Commitment to delivering projects on time, within budget, and to established standards.
