Project Manager – Construction

About the role

Discovery Builders is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multiple luxury residential projects on the Barbuda Ocean Club development. The role ensures projects meet Discovery Builders’ standards, owner expectations, and deliver superior quality, budget, and schedule performance from inception to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for members, designers, architects, and consultants, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain professionalism, respect, timeliness, and accountability across the project team.
• Oversee bi‑weekly reporting in standard company formats.
• Coordinate with architects, landscape architects, interior designers, and other consultants.
• Manage project budgets, produce monthly budget snapshots, and ensure accurate cost coding.
• Conduct bid comparisons and issue subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Support superintendents and on‑site construction activities, including weekly conference calls with owners, architects, and contractors.
• Maintain site cleanliness, material management, laydown yards, and traffic flow.
• Support community development initiatives and ensure alignment with operations and sales.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
• Minimum 8 + years of construction project management experience.
• Construction Management certification or equivalent experience (preferred).
• Luxury residential construction experience strongly preferred; commercial experience a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Project, Visio).
• Ability to work with diverse staff and communicate effectively.
