Director of Sales and Marketing

About the role

The Director of Sales and Marketing will lead revenue generation for Curtain Bluff, an award‑winning Relais & Châteaux resort, by shaping commercial strategy and nurturing key trade relationships across the US and UK.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual sales and revenue plan, including market mix, rate strategy and occupancy targets by segment and season.
• Lead trade engagement through sales trips, roadshows, and hosted travel advisors, keeping Curtain Bluff top‑of‑mind for top‑producing agencies.
• Design and implement a targeted acquisition strategy for affluent couples (40‑50s) and multigenerational families.
• Maintain and deepen a 65 % return guest rate by overseeing pre‑arrival, on‑property and post‑stay communications in partnership with Reservations.
• Manage day‑to‑day collaboration with Marketing, US Sales, UK Sales and the Relais & Châteaux Global Sales Office.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of luxury hospitality sales experience with established relationships with leading US and UK travel agencies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Sales or Marketing; MBA preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, strategic thinking, problem‑solving and team‑management abilities.
• Deep knowledge of market trends, competitor analysis, customer behavior and industry regulatory compliance.
